Community Gallery Expectations

On average, every 6 weeks we switch over the work in the Community Gallery, which is the center section of the gallery that splits the two artists solo spaces.  Christy Seving, the Community Gallery Coordinator, will announce when the Community Gallery space switches out.  Refer to the calendar for themes or guest artists.

Displaying work in the Community Gallery is optional, but of great benefit to you and Next Gallery. Please submit up to two pieces of art. One piece is guaranteed acceptance, the second may be hung or held in reserve to fill in for sold work.  It is expected that your work should be left in the gallery clearly labeled, with appropriate hanging hardware and quality framing by Monday night of the hanging week.

Artists cards can be found at the front desk. Fill out the name of the artist, medium, title, and price.  If you drop off your work before the closing of business on the Sunday of the hanging week it should be placed in the art closet.  If your work is not dropped off by Monday it will not be included in the show. Works should generally be less than 36” x 24” or under.

Remember to keep your artwork fresh, but if you have existing work that fits the theme of the show that is also acceptable. We encourage you to see this as an opportunity to try something different and get response to new ideas.  We are NEXT gallery after all, we want to always be working on the NEXT thing.
