This piece draws from the biblical account of Judas and the thirty pieces of silver, except the silver is being exchanged behind the back of a single individuals. The unnaturally positioned hands, hidden behind the back, suggest an unconscious transaction-an internal act of compromise performed out of view. Money here is not depicted as power or abundance, but as a quiet moral exchange, where value is measured against integrity. The work reflects on how the pursuit of profit can estrange us from ourselves long before it harms others. .
