As a non-profit artist collective, we know that creative labor often exists outside or in spite of traditional markets. To this show we invited work that questions value, exposes the economies that exploit art and artists, or subverts the logic of capital. We considered how we collectively or individually value art, what other forms of wealth or exchange we can create, or how worth might be measured beyond price. Some of the work approaches the theme more personally, symbolically, or playfully. Money touches everyone differently, and we sought a wide range of perspectives.
