Invited to create a shoe-based sculpture for a local arts festival exhibit during the 2020 election year, collaborators Suze Woolf and Cath Carine chose to exploit the double meaning of the phrase ""party platform."" The red and blue rhinestone-studded platform stilettos are decorated using the traditional political party signifiers -- color, totem-animals. Boat-like, they contain collaged party-goer figures with appropriate attire and animal heads. Shaped booklets containing phrases from each political party's platform fill in the spaces under the stilettos' arches, making each shoe appear more like the platform shoes of the 1970s. Alas, begun before the pandemic shutdown, the exhibit was cancelled.
