Shredded paper, personal checks and dollar bills (found already shredded in a party supply store) hand sewn and hand hooked on linen. A history of my spending through the recession years of 2008-2010. The yellow spiral, suggesting a question mark, expressing the wonder of where it all went and the concern about how things would turn out. The idea came as I was moving and needed to get rid of things.... shredding old checks one of them. I ran my hands through the pile of shredded check pieces and wanted to express something with them other than just tossing them out. Mounted in Plexiglas box not included in photo.
