This piece, titled "Forge a Future" is a wall mounted sculpture I created from steel. 4' x 4' x 6" deep. It is forged and
fabricated, then hot dip galvanized, patinaed and clear coated. It has a textured copper plate behind the shield that is mounted to the steel with bolts. It weighs 150 lbs. I created this piece as a passion project because I have always had my own personal opinions about the way the dollar influences us today. And if I could render the imagery differently this is what it would look like. The symbology of love is greater than money basically means do what you love rather than focus on attaining riches. The textured copper represents the building blocks which are the foundation for the future we create for ourself. The eye in the hammer represents the vision of the future we wish to forge, and the key unlocks the door to our fate. (The key says Fate if you look closely)
